Roadmap

This isn't a content update, but just letting you know what I'm working on and where this project is going.

This game is far from complete, but I've made a lot of progress since the initial prototype that I posted of this game. I am working on testing some features and adding new ones.  This game originally started as a recreation of my favorite board game, but now I'm working on unifying its theme into its own erotic vore RPG experience. In order to do that, I have redesigned some of the more gruesome events to be more fun rather than just gross. 

In addition to that I have added:

  • Items can be dropped and have a limit as to how many you can hold.
  • Enemies can chase you if you escape them. Your speed stat determines how often they move toward you.
    • Enemy stats can be seen when fighting.
    • More Enemies in general.
  • Some events can trigger quests, such as finding a room in x amount of rounds or killing a certain enemy.
  • Equipped weapons are mentioned in combat

I am still testing the above. What I have next on my roadmap to add is the following:

  • Enemies
    • Ability to flirt with enemies during combat, using knowledge stat.
      • items/omens related to flirting.
      • Succeeding this roll means that the enemy becomes a companion (more on that below).
    • Ability to beg with enemies during combat, using sanity stat.
      • items/omens related to begging.
      • Succeeding this roll means that the enemy becomes passive, allowing you to flee without a chase.
      • Failing this roll means the enemy becomes even more sadistic.
    • Add rooms that provide hiding spots from enemies.
      • I like the idea of players being able to hide, allowing enemies to pass to reach certain areas. Currently, enemies always move toward the player which doesn't feel as dynamic.
      • Could also be fun for unique RPG dialogs, an enemy searching the room for you, giving you the chance to roll to run or roll to not be seen.
  • Ability to eat enemies if they are defeated.
  • Companions
    • Ability to feed companions to enemies, allowing you to escape.
    • Ability to eat companions to regain stats.
    • Ability to talk to companions for hints about winning the game (more on that later).
    • Ability to fuck companions for small stat regain.
    • The ability to disband companions
      • could have fun consequences, maybe triggering a fight if the companion is not happy.

Companions are actually currently in the game, but they are very limited, only giving you increased stats and functioning like omens (similar to the original board game). My goal is to expand them into being their own thing.

  • Death improvements
    • Dying is actually one of the fun parts of this game, but losing all your progress is not fun. I plan to have a respawn system, where you're essentially a "new player" who can pick up items from your previous run.
    • I think it also adds another fun dialog tree where you can encounter enemies that ate you in your previous run, also giving you a chance for multiple prey scenarios.
    • I think this could also be an interesting mechanic.  For example, if an enemy is full maybe it leaves you alone, letting you continue your exploration of the mansion.
  • Winning the game
    • Currently, you cannot win the game. My plan is to have several ways to win, but I haven't decided how that will work. Most likely it'll be related to the number of omens that have been revealed increasing the chances of an endgame event.
  • Enemy Body's Mini dungeon
    • instead of simply dying when your stats reach 0 from an enemy attack, You are sent to a mini-dungeon of the enemy's stomach, allowing you to fight to your very end with a small chance of escaping or accepting your fate. 
    • This is something I really want to implement, as it'll add a whole other dynamic to fighting.  This could also be utilized with companions.
    • This is probably the most complicated feature I want to add, as each enemy could essentially have their own map and dialog trees related to this, so I plan to tackle this last as the other mechanics of the game mature.

On the topic of "full" enemies, maybe possibly have a prey-leaning palyer have the option to uh... "indulge" the full enemy, either by attempting to charm them for lewds or even just going in for belly rubs and being a bit of a gutslut.

I think that's a good idea! You can flirt with enemies, so I could add specific interactions for when they have prey inside them.
